Dams and Hydro Electric Projects

We have a number of funders as well as funding programmes that cater for  dams and hydro electric projects. The project funding  requirement must be at least USD$100 Million. 

The project must be ready to start, except for  the money to fund the working capital.  Some of the items that we look  at are as follows:

A professionally prepared  business plan, preferably by one of the big global accounting  firms;

An experienced management team in place;

EPC Contractors must have relevant experience in handling similar projects;

Environment Impact Study including relocation plans for locals where required;

All relevant permits and licenses are in place;

Contracts  or commitment letters or  power purchase agreements (PPA) are in place;

Availability of  funds to complete (to cover necessary legal cost, due diligence cost and other  related expenses);

Evidence that the project benefits the people and won't be a 'white elephant'.
